The WBA Intramural Basketball Program is an instructional league for basketball players in grades 1st through 8th.
The cost for the intramural program is: $115 with an $10 early bird discount.
Intramural Program Outline
1st and 2nd grade The Intramural program for players in grades 1st and 2nd grade consists of one 90 minute weekend session consisting of roughly 45 minutes of practice/skills and 45 minutes of game. Practices will begin in early November and run through the end of January. There are no playoffs for these divisions.
3rd through 8th grade The Intramural Program for players in the 3+4 and the 5+6 divisions consists of (1) one hour practice per week (excepting gym closures) and one game each weekend. There is no practice for grades the 7+8 division.
Each division will have playoffs at the end of the season culminating with the final game on Super Sunday at the Wakefield High School field house.
The practices times for these divisions are chosen by lottery. Since the practice times are chosen by lottery, there is no way to know when the players practice time will be and no way to place the player on a team that practices at a specific time or night. If your child cannot practice at the designated time that is chosen by his coach, he or she will be allowed to practice with another team, but must play with the team that drafted them.
Practices will begin in early November and run through the end of January.
Refunds will be issued at 100% prior to October 23, 2017.
